VIOLIN - JURY MEMBERS

Dr. Márta S. Dobos

Dr. Márta S. Dobos is an Artisjus and Halász Ferenc Award–winning violinist and master teacher. She earned her diploma at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. She began her career in Debrecen, where she taught at both secondary and higher education levels. Since 1990, she has been a violin and chamber music teacher at the Vántus István Practice Secondary School of Music of the University of Szeged, and a retired associate professor of the Béla Bartók Faculty of Arts at the University of Szeged. Her students have won numerous prizes at national and international competitions, and her teaching work has been recognized on several occasions. Since the beginning of her career, she has performed regularly in concert, appearing in many countries across Europe. She frequently gives violin masterclasses both in Hungary and abroad. She is a regular member of juries at national, regional, county, and international violin competitions. She obtained her doctoral degree in 2011 at the Doctoral School of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. For decades, she has been an active participant in the musical life of Szeged, both as a teacher and as a performer.

Ivana Makević Mađarić

Ivana Makević Mađarić was born in 1983. She completed her primary music education in the class of Prof. Stevan Mak in Bačka Palanka, and her secondary education at the “Isidor Bajić” Music School in Novi Sad, in the class of Prof. Csaba Zima. She graduated in 2007 from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Prof. Evgenija Kravceva. She is the recipient of the University Award for Outstanding Achievement, as well as the Scholarship for Young Talents. During her studies, she attended numerous master classes with distinguished pedagogues and artists, including Stefan Kamilarov, Megumi Teshima, and Igor Coretti. She has achieved outstanding pedagogical results with her students and has served as a jury member at many national and international competitions. Her students are members of the “ESYO” Youth Symphony Orchestra, scholarship holders and orchestra members within the FAMES Institute, as well as scholarship recipients of the Stefan Milenković Music Institute. For the past fifteen years, she has been an active member of the string quartet Studio Alektik, with which she has performed successfully both in Serbia and abroad

Arnold László

Arnold László was born in 1994 in Târgu Mureș (Romania). He began his music education on the violin, studying with András Sinkó, and later switched to the viola, completing his studies in the class of Margit Kardos. He finished secondary music school at the Lyceum in Târgu Mureș, after which he was employed by the National Philharmonic in the same city. He subsequently enrolled at the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music, studying in the class of Professor Dr. Marius Suarășan. He also collaborated with the Transylvanian Philharmonic and the Dinu Lipatti Philharmonic. During this period, he was actively performing both as a soloist and as a member of numerous chamber ensembles. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 2017 and his master’s degree in 2020. He spent two years as a violist with the Philharmonic in Oradea, and since 2019 he has been working at the music school in Sighetu Marmației as a violin and viola teacher.
