VIOLA, CELLO, DOUBLE BASS - JURY MEMBERS

Igor Josifoski

Igor Josifoski was born in 1969 in Belgrade, where he completed his primary and secondary music education. He graduated from the “Kornelije Stanković” Secondary Music School in the class of Prof. Jovan Stojanović, and earned his degree in viola in 1994 from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, studying with Prof. László Horvath. During his studies, he participated in numerous competitions and master classes, and as a student he was a member of the chamber orchestra Camerata Academica under the artistic direction of Prof. István Varga, with whom he gave many concerts and made studio recordings. Immediately after completing his studies, he was employed by the Opera of the Serbian National Theatre, where he worked as principal violist (section leader). At the same time, he has been teaching at the “Isidor Bajić” Music School as a professor of viola, sight-reading, and chamber music. Together with his viola students and chamber ensembles, he has won numerous awards at national and international competitions. He has actively served as a jury member at many competitions. He has been a permanent member of the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra since its founding in 2000 to the present day, and also collaborates with many other orchestras.

Judit Niderholcer Josifoska

Judit Niderholcer Josifoska was born in Subotica, where she completed her primary and secondary music education in the class of Prof. Mirko Molnar. She graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Prof. István Varga. She was a member of the chamber orchestra Camerata Academica, the Opera of the Serbian National Theatre, and the Vojvodina Philharmonic. She began her pedagogical career while still a student, in 1991, as a cello professor, and somewhat later also as a professor of chamber music at the “Isidor Bajić” Music School in Novi Sad. Throughout her pedagogical career, her students have won numerous awards and laureate titles both nationally and internationally. She actively serves as a jury member at various competitions. She is the recipient of multiple awards and recognitions, including: the “Award for Many Years of Outstanding Results” from the Association of Music and Ballet Educators of Serbia; the “Provincial Award” for Mentor of the Year on multiple occasions; the Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Novi Sad for exceptional results achieved in work with students; and the “Award for Many Years of Outstanding Results” from the Association of Music and Ballet Schools of Serbia in 2014.

Goran Kerleta

Goran Kerleta, professor of double bass, completed his lower and secondary music education in Zrenjanin in the class of Prof. Josif Tajti, and graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Prof. Konstantin Ivanović. During his secondary music school years, he also performed with the Zrenjanin Chamber Orchestra, where he gained extensive experience in performing musical works. He also participated in the activities of the Vojvodina Youth Philharmonic and gave numerous performances. Throughout his pedagogical career, his students have won many awards and laureate titles both nationally and internationally, as well as performing solo concerts. Many of them were also active participants in master classes with eminent national and international double bassists. Most of his former students are today well-known and respected artists, educators, and performers both in Serbia and abroad. He actively serves as a jury member at various competitions and is deeply engaged in double bass pedagogy, with the goal of transmitting knowledge to younger generations as effectively as possible.
